While making the book Amsterdam... The Essence, I realised that some of the stories about the city should be captured on film.
Early in the process of finding characters for the book, Hanky Panky - aka, Henk Schiffmacher - was recommended as a person who epitomises the essence of Amsterdam. In this short movie, Henk gives his opnions on Amsterdammers and the nature of the city itself.
